I've got these unbelievable weekend plans. Plan so big, I cannot wrap my mind around them. It all starts tomorrow when I will catch a train to Chicago. Meeting me there will be my two sisters-in-law and my dearest friend, Beth. For one entire day and night, we'll go to restaurants, shop around, hit a museum maybe, all in honor of Troy's older sister's birthday. The next morning, Troy's younger sister and I will attend an all day photography class in the city. I'll take the train back that night and get immediately started on making enough Asian noodle salad to feed 100 people. See, Sunday morning His Grace, Bishop Matthias, will be visiting our little parish for the first time. Not only will we celebrate a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, but our beloved Deacon Joshua will also be ordained to the priesthood. Whew!
The photo above is of me in my jammies just this morning, making a mental checklist, over oatmeal and coffee, of what needs to happen here at home before I can take off on Friday. It's a snaphot of a sleepy yours truly trying to process it all.
